Our Story
Welcome to our cabins! We’re Cody and Jess, and we’re so excited to share our love for the Smoky Mountains with you. After several trips to Gatlinburg, we fell in love with the area and decided to make it our home away from home. We’re from a small town just 20 minutes north of Indianapolis, and the mountains are such a nice change of scenery from the flatlands of Indiana.
We both love the outdoors and love to explore the beautiful surroundings of Gatlinburg. Together, we also manage several residential rental properties in Indiana, as well as these two cabins in Gatlinburg.
We fell madly in love with both of our cabins, and we’re sure you will too.

Gatlinburg Cabin Rental
When we decided to buy a cabin, we knew that a breathtaking view was a must-have. And when we first walked into Bear-ly Made It, we immediately fell in love with the stunning panoramic view visible through the large glass doors in the back. The authentic log cabin exudes rustic charm, and the open concept of the main floor adds to the spacious feel.
One of our favorite features of the cabin is the large open kitchen, perfect for cooking and entertaining. There is a deck on each floor, and we especially love the main floor deck that wraps around, providing an unobstructed view of the mountains while relaxing in the rocking chairs or soaking in the hot tub.
The large basement is perfect for a game room, complete with a pool table, air hockey table, darts, and an old-school arcade system. We’ve spent countless hours down there having fun with family and friends.
But what really sets this cabin apart is the view from the back deck. Jess calls it her happy place. It’s a breathtaking sight that never gets old.
Cody also loves the deck and the feeling of being surrounded by trees. He’s the animal whisperer in the family and has been visited by raccoons and black bears foraging through the trees below. Our son’s favorite spot is the hot tub, which he treats like his own private pool.
Bear Naked is tucked away in the trees and the Smoky Mountain National Park, this authentic hand-hewn log cabin was built in the early 1900s and relocated and added onto. It’s the perfect romantic getaway for two with its breathtaking view of the treetops, you’ll feel like you’re floating in the trees. We got engaged in this cabin, so it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We hope it will be just as special for you too. We completed an interior remodel in early 2020, striking the perfect balance between authenticity and modern comfort. And with the seclusion and stunning scenery surrounding this cabin, you’re in for an unforgettable stay.
